• VersaRoll™ Rolls into Safeway Stores

  Safeway has approved B-O-F VersaRoll™ gravity flow shelving to be installed in 387 of its stores in a retrofit capacity in addition to 14 new/remodel store applications. The endorsement is a result of Safeway's evaluation of competitors' shelving and a successful 20-month period of product development and in-store testing in which the B-O-F team worked closely with Safeway's store planning and design staff.
  
  "Safeway came to us with a specific need," states Patrick Mitten, Chief Operating Officer of B-O-F. "They requested roller shelving that accomodates multiple product sizes but does not require expensive parts for re-sets. We developed a new roller system that easily accomodates products of all sizes, hence the name VersaRoll™. VersaRoll™ will drastically reduce reset costs for Safeway while at the same time provide the disploay flexibility they had been lacking."
  Another benefit discovered during extensive testing was the gaining of product facings. "In testing the seasonal dairy products in the Safeway stores, we discovered that VersaRoll™ delivered up to six additional facings per door," says Mitten. What's next for VersaRoll™ and Safeway? "Additional new stores, remodels and retrofits. We're pleased that we've surpassed their expectations."
